'Gays are immoral-Anita Bryant
The battle lines are clearly drawn in Miami. The issue. whether homosexuals should be granted civil rights in Miami has split the metropolitan area in two. A special referendum on the issue will be held on June 7.

The most conspicuous battler is Anita Bryant, who has captured national ́attention with her outspoken view's against any legal recognition of homosexual rights. Her stance is based upon her interpretation of the Bible and her concern as a parent.
Jim Treloar went to Miami to find out about Miss Bryant and those who oppose her efforts. ·
In this last article of a two-part series, Treloar explores the problems of granting rights to homosexuals and of refusing to grant those rights. He also relates the problems Miss Bryant has encountered since she began her campaign from bomb threats to loss of income.

She's still furious that Dade County's homosexual rights ordinance was introduced by a woman whose candidacy she's endorsed.

She is concerned that homosexual teachers would have the legal right to flaunt themselves in front of children and to show up for work “in drag" wearing, clothes of the opposite sex...

But the nub of the issue is whether or not homosexuals prey upon children.
Miss Bryant says they do. Homosexuals cannot reproduce biologically, she says, "so they must recruit children." She claims to have interviewed former homosexuals who support that statement. Continued on Page 2
